Fitted Wardrobes Built Around Your Kingston Home
A lot of the fitted wardrobes Kingston homeowners come to me for are about solving a specific problem rather than just adding storage.
Victorian terraces near the town centre often have deep alcoves either side of a chimney breast that standard wardrobes were never going to fit properly. Loft conversions and homes with sloped ceilings need something designed around the shape of the room rather than squeezed into it.
Whatever the layout, the wardrobe is built to those exact measurements, so it ends up feeling like part of the room rather than something added afterwards.
A Few Things I’ve Noticed Around Kingston
Properties around Kingston Hill and Coombe tend to be older and a bit grander, with higher ceilings and decorative mouldings that need matching carefully if you’re extending or repairing existing skirting and architraves.
Closer to the river and the town centre, space is often the bigger challenge. Apartments and converted properties don’t always have room for freestanding furniture, which is usually where bespoke alcove units or fitted wardrobes make more sense.
I’ve also worked on jobs right in the town centre, including doors fitted at a studio nearby, so I’m used to working around parking restrictions, access and the practicalities of a busy high street.
